Dr Sue Lewey

Dr Sue Lewey is a
trained marine scientist and navigator.
For five years she was Head of the Maritime Research Centre at
Southampton Institute and has extensive experience of managing and
participating in research projects, including numerous European Projects. She
is a European Expert Evaluator for Frameworks 5 & 6.
Currently working
part-time in Brussels for The Alliance of Maritime Regional Interests in Europe
(AMRIE) as a technical consultant. She has experience of working closely with
the maritime industry, gaining an understanding of the operational issues and
hence she can act as an effective bridge between researchers and end
users. Working in Brussels, means that
she has a close working knowledge of the European Commission and the European
Parliament.
She also works
privately through consulting companies in the UK and Malaysia.
